Candidate Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Hydrogeology or Geology (required)
  • Advanced degree in same area (preferred)
  • At least 8 years of experience in environmental consulting with 3 years of project management experience (preferred)

Mid Level And Senior Level Geotechnical Engineer

As a materials technician you will be working side by side with professionals in a wide variety of fields in the construction industry. The civil engineering field encompasses many aspects, from soils to concrete to structural steel to fireproofing; this position is an integral part of the building process. We are looking for dynamic individuals who are interested in starting and/or furthering their career in Inspection and Materials Testing.

Individuals should have strong initiative, be able to perform routine to complex inspections and test procedures in the field for verification of conformance to plans and specifications. This is an opportunity to become a member of a successful team working on vital projects in the California area.

Responsibilities:

Geotechnical Engineer

Our Dallas, Texas office has current openings for a geotechnical engineer. 3 to 5 years of applicable experience required. P.E. preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year. The candidate must have the ability to provide services to existing clients, and the potential to develop new clients while maintaining strong billability. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of proposals, technical reports, specifications and construction plans, development of appropriate foundation and site-related geotechnical recommendations, and must have had previous comprehensive field experience associated with subsurface investigations and foundation construction. Environmental Position (Entry and Staff level) for Environmental Engineer, Scientist or hydrogeologist.

Staff Level Qualifications and Responsibilities: Must have a B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in hydrogeology, geology, or civil/environmental engineering or other related environmental discipline. A Minimum of 2 -3 to years’ experience in conducting and managing environmental investigations and performing Phase I Site Assessment, less experience would be acceptable for the right applicant. This position requires good organizational and communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong desire to learn. Should have experience on a wide range of Phase II ESA projects such as installation of monitoring wells, sampling various media (groundwater, soil, surface water, etc.), logging soil borings, compiling field records and documenting site activities, and directing subcontractors (drillers, sub-consultants). Office tasks experience would include: data analysis, data interpretation and manipulation, report writing, and coordination of logistics for field efforts. Knowledge of permitting, groundwater modeling, SPCC, SWPPP is a plus. Should have organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize several assignments at one time, while ensuring delivery within specific deadlines and budgets.

Entry Level Qualifications and Responsibilities: Must have a B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in hydrogeology, geology, or civil/environmental engineering or other related environmental discipline.
